MAH HM CET is for the admission in the first year of Graduate Degree Course in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT). It is a State Common Entrance Test. It is conducted by Government of Maharashtra. It is a State Common Entrance Test for BHMCT Course in the Government Aided and UnAided Institutes in Maharashtra State.

  • The candidate should be an Indian National.
  • Candidate should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination in any discipline with at least 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent.
  • At least 40% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only.
  • Candidates appearing for Qualifying Examination are also eligible for MAH HM CET.
  • Percentage of Marks shall be calculated by rounding off to TWO decimal Points.

MAH HM CET exam pattern for UG courses is such that the question paper will contain:

  • 100 multiple choice questions of 100 marks that candidates need to complete in 90 minutes duration.
  • The test will be conducted in the online mode and in English language only.

A. English Language:
  • Vocabulary (Synonyms, Antonyms, Analogies etc)
  • Proficiency (Idioms and phrases, one word substitutions, sentence improvement and rearrangement, fill in the blanks etc)
  • English usage errors (common errors, spotting errors, inappropriate usages of words, spelling mistakes etc.)
  • English comprehension with minimum two passages followed by 5-10 questions that test reading and reasoning abilities.
B. Reasoning:

Study Material:
