Overview:
Graduate Management Aptitude Test- GMAT is a registered trademark of the Graduate Management Admission Council. A computer adaptive test (CAT) intended to assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English for use in admission to a graduate management program, such as an MBA

Why GMAT?

  • More than 5,900 programs offered by more than 2,100 universities and institutions use the GMAT exam as part of the selection criteria for their programs.
  • The GMAT exam is administered in standardized test centers in 112 countries around the world. The GMAT is still the number one choice for MBA aspirants.

Whats in it?
The GMAT consists of four main sections - Analytical Writing Assessment, Integrated Reasoning, Quantitative and Verbal.

  1. AWA- 1 topic on analysis of argument which is to be completed in 30 minutes.
  2. Integrated Reasoning - 12 questions from multi-source reasoning, graphical interpretation, two-part analysis and table analysis to be completed in 30 minutes.
  3. Quantitative - 37 questions on data sufficiency and problem-solving to be completed in 75 minutes.
  4. Verbal - 41 questions on reading comprehension, sentence correction and critical reasoning to be completed in 75 minutes

The total time for the examination is 3 hours 30 minutes plus optional breaks of 8 minutes before the third and fourth sections, and some initial time for biometric credentials verification. So the candidate should be prepared for a four-hour appointment.

GMAT Scores:

  • The total GMAT score ranges from 200 to 800.
  • Scores are given in increments of 10.
  • Validity of the score is for 5 years.
  • It can be taken up to five times a year. Each attempt must be at least 16 days apart.
